This week's MacTip is a little off the normal subject but it is none the less vitally important to the future of the Mac OS. The "Save the Clones!" campaign was created Tim Dunton and I to provide Apple feedback from the millions of Mac OS users indicating their support for the Mac clone market. Our petition is simply for Apple to continue broad-based licensing of the Mac OS in a manner which isn't prohibitive to clone manufacturers. Tip #22 apeared August 12th 1997.
